Heavy Weights For Abs?

If you have been struggling with either getting your abs to show, or you do not have a lower enough body fat percentage to make them show through then try this technique. All it involves is doing heavier lifts or crunches that target your midsection, abs, gut, belly, jelly, the whole lot. More often than not guys have weak abs, they will train other body parts while ignoring this part of the body and then complain, they are either skinny fat, have a jelly belly or any other term. While it is true that you need to get to a certain level of body fat, you shouldn’t ignore this technique. Firstly having bigger stronger abs will allow you burn fat faster. With strong abs (from heavy lifting) you will notice you can pull your stomach in, without any effect, despite the fact you may have a roll or two of fat still there.  [Read more...]

Abs With Cables?

Many people do abdominal workouts without using cables, but I find them to be very useful in building strong abs. There are multiple ways to workout your abs, lying on the ground doing crunches, hanging crunches, mountain climbers, using the Swiss ball and more! However, let’s go through some workout plans you can incorporate into your ab routine. Now I would advise doing this routine once or twice per week, if you want to take any single set and mix it into say your back and arms workout then go head.

What this means is that you will learn to perform better moves to target abs. If you do not perform an exercise properly then you won’t be targeting that muscle effectively. So before doing any of these do it with no weights or just ‘mime’ the exercise prior to performing it, you should be able to tell whether that particular body part is being worked out. In this case the abs. [Read more...]

How To Get Abs Like Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo, has and I am sure many males have seen (as well as females ) rather nice abdominal muscles. The former Manchester United winger, and now Real Madrid player, has a very toned muscular shape, not too different from a sprinter. What is apparent from Cristiano Ronaldo, is that he can sprint fast in bursts similar to an Olympic runner. You don’t just get abs from sprinting though, you need to mix in a few other variables, one of which is training your abs.

Looking at some photos of Ronaldo, you can see he has well developed oblique muscles. These are the muscles to the side (left and right). These are good stabilization muscles for turning fast and give you a nice look on the beach without having to go full out trying to work the upper and lower abs. Because they are quite large they are slightly easier to get shape too. [Read more...]

Burn Belly Fat Faster Than Cardio

Belly fat is ugly, what is the point in it at all? Not a lot. It covers up muslces if you have them there. How do you burn belly fat faster? You have to incorporate ab routines. Go grab a Swiss Ball, from somewhere, either at your gym or buy one. You should be doing ab workouts along with cardio in order to burn belly fat faster. Don’t constantly stare at your gut and complain it isn’t getting smaller, we all have stumbling blocks to reaching goals. Some days you won’t have that spurt of energy to do tons of cardio or ab workouts. [Read more...]
