HIIT in its many forms works as a good way to raise your EPOC which is post exercise energy consumption and fat burning potential. As you can see you do not NEED to spend hours in the gym at slow pace doing nothing more than ‘treading water’ or in this case treading on the elliptical! To be blunt this workout destroys bodyfat. It lasts 30 minutes and can burn upwards of 400 calories. As you can see here in this video I am over 400 with time to spare, in fact it is possible to burn over 450 calories as I hit 471. Elliptical machines are a great way to get a good cardio workout at home. Apart from this obvious fact, the other things that are apparent is they are low impact machines, and you can perform a variety of different workouts on them. So some days you can perform fat-loss/high-intensity-interval-training-hiit”>HIIT, resistance, endurance, and also strength.

You can’t just say which is the best because best is based on a number of factors, not least of which is price. If you want THE best, then you need to spend over $3000 easily. Some of the higher end models are priced around the $5000 mark, just so you know. However some elliptical machines start at around $500. Maybe you can get one in the sale though, or buy one used.
