Is Running Outside Harder Than A Treadmill?

Is running outside more difficult than running indoors on a treadmill? Well although you are running in both – there are inherent differences and both provide different workouts. If you are used to running only on a treadmill, then when you first start running outdoors (especially if you do HIIT) you might find it hard. Not hard that you can’t run, but hard in the fact you are working different muscle groups again, small stablizing muscles will be activated running outdoors, as you are dealing with different terrain. Sometimes you might have to jump over curbs, avoid a dog, person or other obstacle, which requires different muscle groups because you are leaping or hopping.
